Basement
A shrinkage crack in the foundation wall can be a path for water entry. Recommend repairing/sealing crack with an epoxy-based masonry compound.
Step crack in brick mortar is a sign of foundation movement. Suspect undermining of foundation caused by storm drainage conditions.
Water intrusion through block foundation wall allowing mold to grow. Suggest consulting a waterproofing contractor.
Sagging roof rafters causing side walls to bow outwardly is a structural problem that needs to be corrected. Recommend contractor to reinforce structure.
Water stain beneath kitchen floor caused by old plumbing leak.
Water penetration into basement appears along sill plate with possible wall seepage. Recommend contacting waterproofing contractor.

Attic

Attic
Attic access is limited without a pull-down collapsible stairway.
Attic insulation recommended in the NE region is R30 (min.), or 8 inch height for blown-in cellulose as in this case.
Interior wall crack outward from door corner is another indication of differential settlement.
Water stains on roof boards caused by defective roof edge flashing.
Black mold on roof rafters caused by moisture and a lack of attic ventilation. This mold can be toxic and should be addressed. Recommend providing adequate attic ventilation via soffit/ gable vents and adding an attic exhaust fan.
Defective attic ventilation fan did not start when tested.
